Vatican columns

The symbol of St Peter’s Square in Rome, Bernini’s columns underwent restoration from 2009 to 2014. Following several years of meticulous cleaning, the Vatican needed to ensure the results would endure by protecting the columns from soiling and recurring graffiti. For this project the Vatican laboratory in charge of restoration of monuments selected and adopted ProtectGuard® as the most effective, longest lasting technology.
