ProtectGuard® FC 24H

Water/oil repellent, efflorescence and stain protection

ProtectGuard® FC 24H is a product designed to protect porous young alkaline concrete (less than 28 days old) against water, oil, stains, soiling of any type and graffiti. Surfaces treated with ProtectGuard® FC 24H deteriorate less rapidly and make maintenance easier. Due to its special composition, ProtectGuard® FC 24H can be applied to hardened concrete 24 hours after it is laid or even once the mould is removed for fabricated elements.

ProtectGuard® FC 24H is a non-film forming impregnation product, the material remains permeable to air and water vapour. Colourless after application, ProtectGuard® FC 24H is available in a matt or gloss version. It is also fully resistant to UV rays and does not yellow over time.

Surface preparation :

    Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.
  • 2
    To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Cleaner® Surface Preparation.
  • 3
    To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Maintenance.
  • 4
    Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.

Application :

  • Use the product undiluted.
  • Stir the product for at least 1 minute using a stirrer to even out the product and perform a preliminary test.
  • The material should be impregnated in a single coat. Do not overload the material (maximum 150 g/m2).
  • Apply from bottom to top.
  • Protected drying: 24 hours.
  • Optimal efficiency reached after 5 to 7 days.
