ProtectGuard® Color Heat Control: one product, two functions:

1. Water and oil repellent
ProtectGuard^® Color Heat Control provides long-lasting protection against the main causes of deterioration like soiling, stains of all types, atmospheric pollution, grease marks, ingress, etc. Treated materials, resistant to water/oil ingress and marks. The cleanliness of the treated surfaces is therefore ensured.

2. Pigmented stain with heat control technology
ProtectGuard^® Color Heat Control is a stain tailored for concretes. This semi-transparent stain respects the mineral nature of materials. The final colour depends on the colour of the stain and the colour of the material. ProtectGuard^® Color Heat Control is available in 42 standard shades.

ProtectGuard^® Color Heat Control is an innovative formulation with cool pigments. These new generation pigments increase the reflected energy, reduce the energy absorbed (heat) and reduce the surface temperature. The use of cool pigments increases durability of dark colours.

Surface preparation :

Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry surface.

To remove traces of efflorescence, laitance or grout film, use Guard Cleaner® Surface Preparation.

To remove grease stains, use Guard Cleaner® Maintenance.

Rinse carefully until the surface is free of any trace of cleaner.

Application :

Use the product in its pure form: do not dilute it.
Shake the package well before use in order to fully homogenise the pigments with the rest of the composition
Carry out a preliminary test.

Application with HVLP :

Application from bottom to top in a maximum of 2 to 4 diagonal applications depending on the desired appearance. Do not overload.
Drying time between each coat: 15 minutes.

Application with roller (only used for 100% opacity & non-textured smooth surfaces):

Application from bottom to top in 2 or 3 coats using a brush, spread the product evenly on the material without overloading. If brush marks are left, even out with the short-nap roller
Drying time between each coat: 30 minutes.
Protected drying: 24 hours.
Maximum efficiency reached after 7 days.
